Yeah, I like Teddy too, but I like it because I like theology and philosophy, 
and the whole thing has Doctrinaire feeling to it...which makes it a slightly 
inferior story in my opinion.  I like the War with the Eskimos story 
too...don't know where I'd place it among the Nine, though.  Probably close 
to the top.  I think the point doesn't come through as powerfully there as it 
does in For Esme, but it's very well done. Pretty Mouth is really as 
effective a story as For Esme, but it's unique so far as subject matter goes 
(Esme is more representative of Salinger thematically) and, quite frankly, 
depresses the heck out of me ;).
