I also read the screenplay on the Internet--or started to, anyway, until I decided about 20 pages in that I was enjoying it so much that I'd rather wait to see the finished product. When I did, I was a bit disappointed. I felt that what had seemed insightful on paper (or the computer screen, as it were) was just awkward on film, and that Smith was a better screenwriter than filmmaker.
