>From: kennedyp@toronto.cbc.ca (Paul Kennedy) >....in fact, I now fear that you're actually living with MY wife! And I was wondering what she is doing all day alone with those books! >What did you give HER for an early Christmas present? One of those thermos coffee cups. She's crazy about drinking her coffee burning hot (I'm almost thinking about installing one of those pressure chambers so she can have her coffee at about 100 degrees Celsius). I'm the most ineffective guy you can imagine, and when the coffee is on the table, I do fifty errands everywhere to collect sugar and spoons and putting on a CD and lighting candles and getting a sweater for the cold and going back to the CD player to adjust the volume and what have you, so my coffee is always at room temperature when I finally start drinking it. And when *I'm* ready, she starts warming hers in the micro, mumbling curses at me in a low voice (she' saved it to keep me company). Now she doesn't have to. Peace and happiness is restored. She's been grateful to me ever since. She says her days at the university are bliss now. The journey to the coffee machine at the political science department is so long the coffee is ice cold when she got back to her study. But not anymore. aaah, the satisfaction of doing good deeds... /The Santa Man ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
