Diego!

How right you are! Among the most disgusting travesties in the filmic
medium ranks the Disneyfication of WINNIE.

(In this context, however, I was both saddenned and delighted to learn that
the original Pooh, and Kanga, and Roo, and Tigger, and Piglet are now safely
ensconced on the second floor of a public library in New York City--right
across from the Museum of Modern Art. I loved visiting them there, with my
daughter, who wrote a precocious note in the visitor's book. But I hated
the fact that they'd been ex-patriated. It's almost as heinous as the theft
of the Elgin Marbles!)

Edward Everett Horton has a WONDERFUL voice! But it just ain't WINNIE!

Cheers,

Paul

OSR--Who can send me a surreptitious cyber copy of the JDS story about the
bowling balls? I think it's time I read it.
