I am grievously wounded to see that a Major Studio has made a movie of
E.B. White's STUART LITTLE.  On the one hand, I think nothing can do
justice to Garth Williams's illustrations.  On the other, my beloved
dachshund, Fred [named after EBW's "ghoulish" dachshund Fred] sort of
looks like Stuart Little, which ruins it for me doubly.

But I'm a traditionalist about my classic cartoons....
