How did a boy from Brooklyn get such smarts?

fun bananafish facts:

Me and Tim come from the same little
Verrazano-prided piece of Brooklyn.

These posts are starting to sound like the "Brooklyn
Board" ... I'll bet next you'll mention which high
school and graduation year, and who did you hang out
with back when you remember when - it's cool I'm not
being sarcastic, it's funny - I'm used to seeing this
type of posting appearing at another website The
Brooklyn Board is a bulletin board for present,
displaced, and ex-Brooklynites who miss their home
borough. (keyword search by Yahoo - I don't remember
the URL) There are also boards for Queens, Manhattan,
and the Bronx; I sometimes post to Queens. Do either
of you have any relatives who worked for the Transit
Authority or earlier companies - N.Y. transit history
is another interest of this fisher.

OSR - "DB took me to see a Dodgers game once - all
these morons were yelling and screaming, it killed me.
I even screamed a little bit too - when I'm around
morons sometimes I act like one, even when I don't
want to. Once I even said to old Jane that I'd take
her to a ballgame."
