phoebe, i like your personal approach. it brings some fresh air to
this aquarium - you know, some fish sometimes tend to produce sort of
very high brow bubbles here...
also, this picture of holden in your mind reminds me of the cover of
a german high school edition of The Catcher in the Rye. it shows a
holden with long hair (!) against a NYC skyline. obviously someone
had a (false) picture of holden in his mind there and projected it
onto the cover. if you are interested, you can take a look at that

anyway, just fancy jds allowing some hollywood guy to make a movie
out of the Catcher. after watching that film, the picture of holden
in your mind (and in anybody's mind) would be dstroyed or distorted
forever, because every time you open the book and read some passage
the (dopey?) actor who played holden would get between you and the
holden in your mind/in the book. i have a feeling you would agree
with me that even if a movie was made out of CR, neither me nor you
would go see it. right, phoebe?
