I absolutely adored American Beauty. Man on the Moon was fairly
mediocre, although Jim Carrey gave a phenomenal performance of dear Mr. Andy
Kaufman. I'm wondering (fingers crossed), have any of you fellow
bananafishers have seen Being John Malkovich? It has been one of only two
movies this year (with American Beauty) that have evoked tears out of my
usually dry tear ducts. Not because they are necessarily sad, but because
they are so damn good. They're the same tears are excreted after reading
CITR, Teddy, APDFBF, and (especially) Seymour: An Introduction.
Also, if there are any bananafishers that live in either Los Angeles or
New York and have seen Magnolia (still in limited release), could you
possibly post your verdict on the list? A simple "wonderful" or "crappy"
will satisfy me. I have to wait one more week to see it. Grr...
