So, since you are on this list and presumably a Salinger fan, does 
that mean you are a pseudo-intellectual jerk as well?  Oh - maybe 
that is the character flaw you are referring to.   8) Just kidding. 
I'm guessing that you are actually exaggerating, and that you 
probably get a sense of a person based on more than the author they 
mention first.  For example, what would you assume about me knowing 
that I truly enjoy the majority of Salinger's work, I'm not nearly as 
fond of Catcher in the Rye as the other stories that I've read? 
Would you assume that I'm just saying that to sound different and 
therefore cool?  Or would you wonder why I had that preference?
