He definitely seemed to me to be a bit off his rocker. I did NOT see
him as some sort of mystic seer. He seemed to waver throughout the
movie from "the way" to the dark side of the force. That was the
beauty of his character. It wasn't until confronted with the
opportunity of complete separation from his dad that he made his
choice.
