Nah, that's not quite accurate. The compulsive wife was light years from
Mary Tyler Moore, who was always pretty self directed. This girl is a
nutcase. When you do rent the video, please identify the neurosis for me :)
The sad middle ager didn't establish his integrity by that particular
confession, but by not sleeping with the young girl. The daughter wasn't so
wise as bitchy, but her boyfriend served as a real guru type, without
actually saying much. Or intending to. I didn't feel it was terribly
cliched, but then I haven't so much studied American culture as lived in it :)

That's probably MY problem :)
