Thanks for the links, Ed. I've learned a couple of interesting things about
Pynchon:
1) Knowing nothing about him besides what he wrote in Gravity's Rainbow, I
was convinced he English. He's not.
2) Two aspects of his life coincide with mine - he graduated from Cornell
and worked as an engineer for a large corporation in Seattle. Anyone know if
he also grew up in the midwest?
