At 9:07 PM -0500 on 2/5/2000, you wrote:

I realize that I was participating in a bigger process of putting
together a project, and didn't feel "interviewed" in the sense that
*I* had something to say that nobody else had, or that I had some
special, unique knowledge, but, Paul, when we sat with the tape
recorder going, it felt as if we were doing something important,
which made me weigh my words carefully, and made it a lot of fun.

I think you may have mentioned that you like your job (allez oop!)
somewhere in there ... but I don't think I mentioned how much I liked
what you did with your job, both for me on the talking end and also
me on the listening end (a small pile of tapes that have brought me
pleasure in areas I never would have imagined).

Now, if only there were a CBC pipeline here. Maybe at the consulate??????
