Dear L-R, here are some guidlines that may be of use:
Use a tape recorder and keep hand written notes
Determine q's before but go with the conversational flow and respond to
points, don't just read off q's
Read everything you can about and by your subject and construct q's that
show you have an intelligent and informed grasp of your subject
Offer to buy a refreshment and be as polite as you can be since your
subject is virtually giving you time, ideas, and even words.
