Well, yes, I didn't mean to say that someone should never start to write or
be intimidated by the "conventions of standard written english" (a phrase I
remember from my high school days) to the point where they won't write, but
if you want to seriously use the English language you should use it
correctly. At least try and learn and learn and try.

(Also, every time I send a mail to this list I come off as a real jerk. Sorry.)
