It's very clever. A good idea, Suzanne.

Every time that I read "Seymour: an Introduction", I'm overwhelmed with
a mad desire to get out a sketchbook and draw, so clear is he in my
head.

But then I remember that I can't draw. But I know exactly what he looks
like, with his hair jumping all over the place.

One of the reasons that I like the plain covers for Salinger books is
that I've not been polluted with some artist's idea of what the
Caulfields or the Glasses look like. I have an old paperback copy of
THE CATCHER IN THE RYE, with Holden carrying a suitcase and some lurid
text splashed across it. I'm glad that I had my maroon cover, er,
burgandy cover first.

Everybody has their own ideas of what everyone looks like-- it'll be
interesting to see what else you get in the mail. Nice page.

Regards,
Cecilia.
