I am particularly partial to many scenes from "Franny and Zooey,"
including the famous bathroom dialogue between Zooey and his mother. This
quotation also reflects my personality to some extent.

"'You know, I'm the only one in this family who has no problems,' Zooey
said. 'And you know why? Because anytime I'm feeling blue, or puzzled,
what I do, I just invite a few people to come visit me in the bathroom,
and-well, we iron things out together, that's all.'"--"Zooey"

Just to take a quick poll, how did people first come across Salinger, and
which book/story did you read first? I try to encourage people to read
all the Salinger they can, but people who start with "Nine Stories" are
quite understandably disturbed by Seymour and his (untimely?) demise.
