Well, chaps, what we have here in all this vomit-inducing
sweet talk between Baader & Kozusko is an eerie re-run
of the Maynard-Salinger affair: the same embarrassing dalliance
of April with December, the same concealment of arthritic
lust beneath a mantle of literary pretentiousness, the same
ruthless abuse of an elderly man by a voracious young girl
in whose mouth the dew from the snowdrop would seem
to have great difficulty in melting.

Will no one have a word with the poor old boy? I suppose,
as a sometime victim myself, I should be the one. But I really
haven’t the heart; I couldn’t bear to watch the look of stricken
disillusionment creep into those well loved, if rheumy, eyes.

Jim? Paul? William? Come on, Tim, come out from under
that rapidly accumulating mountain of paper crap & do your duty.

    Scottie B.
