I would say that he spends adjectives like you'd expect Farrington to spend
his pennies on spirits. The dialogue is where he shines. Coolness in
narration but as laconic as a Roman on Saturnalia in description. Which is
not necessarily bad. I love the desolate landscape with the lone Cottonwood
on the Arroyo Bank, but the green heaped upon green of Michigan's Upper
Peninsula has it's charm too. It is interesting that the Euskadi inhabit
both terrains.
