I was interested to hear this because I've heard, from a professor in the
Classics dept. at my university, that Fagles should be read with the knowledge
that he likes to add/leave out many of the meanings that are clear in Greek. I
don't know if he's {the prof.} just a little bitter--he translates himself--but
I would like to hear the differences that you found in Fagles translations,
opposed to the others you've read.
