that's actually the same meaning i got. somewhere along the line i
didn't present what i meant very well and got misinterpreted.

the reason i noticed the irony in the phrase 'human race' was because
here is thom yorke talking about how he wants to be alive, fill his
lungs with fresh clean air, etc etc, and he describes this sense of
'life' as being part of the 'human race'.

when in fact being part of the 'human race', when you take it literally,
is anything but being alive, it's about becoming the walking wounded,
ratrace etc etc.

HENCE, *deep breath*, what i percieved as irony.  i didn't mean to imply
that radiohead meant it ironically. i don't think they did. all i meant
to imply was that i *saw* it ironically, cause i was in a very cynical
mood.
