But I bought a first edition of her novel from a fellow at a flea market a couple of years ago, and he offered to tell me exactly where in her neighborhood I could catch her when she was out running errands, and the best time to catch her, if I wanted my copy of the book signed! I demurred politely. Not only because of the harrassment factor, but I don't have an idea of what she looks like, and for all I know I might end up chasing Bessie Glass, with my fountain pen in one hand and my copy of the book in the other! (Followed, no doubt, by Franny [protecting her mother] and Bloomberg [protecting Franny].) Who needs indigestion of that sort?? --tim
