salinger's glass jewishness

In SAI, we know the Glass's are part jewish, part irish, that seymour's
grandfather was a polish clown named "Zozo," and on page 131, links
jewishness to kafka, and hands to jewishness and poetry.  Then on page 158
Seymour discusses guilt as an imperfect form of knowledge that can still
be used.  will
