help!
i am teaching nine stories as part of a high school english curriculum and have
so far been able to do what i believe to be a good job. however, faced with de
daumier smith's blue period and teddy i seem to be missing a bit. de daumier
smith seems to be about buddhism, but i can't explain the episode w/ the girl
falling. and is mrs. x, sargent x's ex-wife? i can't find any critical work on
the web re: these two stories, esp. de daumier smith. the bananafish home page
doesn't have anything re: de daumier smith. any suggestions? please email
privately soon!
