In fact, The Thin Red Line reminded me immensely of Seymour, or perhaps of Sergeant X--the way that in the terror of front line battle, we are focused on the grass, or the light through the trees above us. I haven't read the Jones book, and to be honest I don't really intend to. I'm much more interested in war imagery than words. I thought it was stunningly beautiful movie, which I guess is what I'm expected to say, but it's true. I'd pay the $7.50 again just to see once more the one shot of the girl on the swing. --Brendan _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private email at http://mail.excite.com/
