Ugh! A movie made of The Catcher in the Rye? I don't even want to think
about it. In the past few years I've quite come to dislike the majority
of motion pictures coming out and the thought of Catcher being made into
a movie just makes me cringe. Every movie adaptation I've ever seen is
just awful (I haven't seen A Clockwork Orange)and if a big time studio
gets its hands on the rights to the book (which it won't if Salinger has
anything to say about it) we'll get some extremely sappy flick with
someone like Leonardo DiCaprio ( I agree with Jente here) playing
Holden, a whole bunch of flashbacks and a completely different ending.
God forbid!
