Yes Marta! And whoever else condemns the thought of our Catcher being
hollywood-ized. I absolutely agree, a movie of Catcher In The Rye would be
blasphemy for me. You'd be surprised how many of my classmates are convinced
Catcher's a movie. Almost every one of them I've mentioned to has claimed to
have seen the movie. This is all very amusing for me.
Kubrick's Lolita, are you kidding me? Now it has been awhile since I've seen
that version, but I do recall it not giving any real justice to Humberts and
Lo's relationship. Wispering into his ear in the morning and the next shot
being to the car ride, hardly elaborates. I thought the recent movie did a
much better job in that area. But I love Kubrick as well.
