Not having seen any of the Vonnegut movies (or any movies in about 25 years,
for that matter), I still am aware of the fact that old KV was very
happy with earlier adaptation of Slaughterhouse 5, and that he was very
active in the recent release of Mother Night. The producer and screenplay
writer of which, Robert Weide, is a close friend of KV's and is
even mentioned in the newest book, Timequake. Mr. Weide was quite available
on the internet while making and releasing the film, is a true gentleman,
an admirer of Mr. Vonnegut and was willing to discuss online some of the minor
changes that were necessary for going from book to screen.

So for imagining how to make such a film, it seems that we may need to
improve our imaginations, or perhaps just see the film, eh?

all the best,
Mattis
