That's the same Phillip Roth and I loved that book too. It reminded me a lot of Salinger's characters in their ... societal aspects, I guess. Take away the eccentricity, take them out of their home, and maybe that is Buddy at the club and in that girl's bedroom. Of course if you took those things away, or if Buddy ever got into a girl's bedoom, it wouldn't be nearly the same Glass Chronicle would it? rick
