JJF,

This just makes me _more_ want to badger you and Matt and Cecilia. (No, I
can't ran out and read the novel.) Please amplify and endings be damned.
:)

For what it's worth, I once was told that Muriel's uncle--truly one of JDS's
greatest characters--was an homage to his teacher at the
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center in NYC: Swami Nikhilananda.

Hi all,

I'd hate to spoil anyone's reading of _The Heart is a Lonely Hunter_
by giving away the ending. (Mine certainly was by seeing the cover
of a Dutch translation somewhere while halfway in the English
version). But there may be something to both Cecilia's and Matt's
theory on Seymour, Muriel's uncle and the main character of _The
Heart is a Lonely Hunter_.

Always willing to react to any post regarding Muriel's uncle,
JJF
