I hate to confess it was $5. And on the shelf underneath, an
autographed copy of Goodbye Columbus, mint condition, $10. (And several
years ago a first edition of Catcher, with photo on back of dust jacket,
slightly worn, $7 -- but subsequently stolen by some "friend" who helped
me move.)

Somewhere there is payback for all the bad things that happen. God
bless the booksellers who know not what they sell. And damn the theives
who do know.

I saw it in my college library, genuine pea-green. I've never seen one
in a store, though. Not even paperback.
