I'm sure Will and some of the other academic lifers who've been on campus
have valuable input here.
I've got ten years of Big State University experience. Perhaps the
smaller, private-er liberal arts colleges get you smaller class sizes and
a nice sense of prestige/community, but unless you're attending on
scholarship, it's probably not worth the money. Only in rare cases is a
$60,000 education from St. Olaf more valuable than a $15,000 education
from the University of Minnesota.
