Well, it's either jealousy or the 'flu. Unfortunately, the 'flu is far more
likely, as I've been laid up with it most of the last week.

Jim, your New York story was fabulous. Looking for the Museum, the ducks,
and walking (almost) the length of the Park. I think that it's a pilgrimage
only a bananafish would want to make. (And one, I must confess, that I made
myself this past summer. The friends that I dragged along with me were,
shall we say, not as excited as I was to see the ducks.)

After the success of the meeting of Jim, Mattis, and Elizabeth, I got to
thinking that a bigger bananafish meeting might be possible, if planned a
little more long term. Perhaps we could choose a date some six months in
the future and meet in NYC, perhaps in the Shakespeare garden in Central
Park. (I would say the duckpond, but as I have little to no sense of
direction, I would never get there.) How does everyone feel about
mid-August? I imagine that would be a good time period for those of you who
are going to/teaching school, and far enough off for those of us who need to
request vacation time.

(Speaking of geography, I'm in Chicago, and may I say that I'm surprised by
the locations of one or two of you? Funny how it's difficult to guess,
strictly based on email. For some reason, I had will in Colorado and Matt
K. in New York.)

Regards,
Cecilia.
