Scottie,
I understand your urge to hand out
fountain pens to all the real writers on the List
(and this place is crowded with them). But I
doubt it detracts as much of their time as
other more regrettable occupations.
Besides, they do deserve some time
off the terrible no man's land of Beauty. Not to
mention our words of encouragement or criticism;
what else do you fancy we are doing here, an old
papa writer like you and an ineffectual simpleton
like me, but dig out the Groundfish?
