Ah...organized religion largely gets a bad rap from those either
inexperienced with it or too undisciplined for even private spirituality.
There are, of course, many who have had terrible experiences, but that's
another subject.

Where did organized religion come from? The writings of thousands of
privately spiritual. Mediated by thousands of years of history. Dogma is
just the end result of thousands of years of interpretation on a single text
-- the interpretive decisions are pretty well understood and made.

The more you read the more you realize your experiences aren't all that
unique. It helps to hear what others have to say about it...,
