what's wrong with appreciating someone? i know plenty of people that would
say that salinger's "just some random reclusive weirdo" and that people like
us shouldn't bother with him...but we do nonetheless....yes, people do
die...but sometimes you don't really realize all that a person was until
they're gone...that's exactly what happened to me when my father died....and
all this "banter" is just a few people expressing their opinion about a
person they admired, and there's nothing wrong with that.
