Scottie:
Your weariness with the self-destructive airheads
who are currently being graced on this list with
the title 'musician', or 'genious' suggests strongly
that you are, in fact, a real music lover.

Scottie, your aesthetics are entirely too conservative. Do you count
yourself among the dull multitudes who insist that art must stand the test
of time before it can be considered real art? (William F. Buckley identified
the official number to be 50 years.)

Even if these 'airheads' turn out to be mere fads, someone has to take their
new work out for a test spin. It's much more invigorating to spend some time
in the present, trying on new ideas, wearing them around for a bit,
discarding them without regret if they begin to seem tacky, than it is to
shuffle through the museums. And even if a work doesn't age well, for those
few moments it may have been right on the mark.
