It's only January 2nd, and I've already had an epiphany--although I'm
feeling SO dense these days that I suspect you ALL came to this realisation
YEARS ago....

I was browsing through some of the photos on this WONDERFUL website (and the
responsible person should stand up and take a bow IMMEDIATELY! What a
pleasure to wander through a site like this!) when I happened on the colour
shot of the carousel.

Now we know EXACTLY what colour the original CATCHER jackets were: Brick red!
(with polychromatic yellow brick lettering).... EXACTLY the same colours
used by the artist for the original hardbound dustjacket (featuring the
wooden horse from the same carousel....)

I'm sure that if I'd been the author and seen the monstrous cover of the
first paperback, I'd have DEMANDED something as comforting as the simple
colours of the carousel's brick. Hold the 'Harlequin Romance-Holden' please!

Will you accept "brick" red, Cecilia? (so that we can finally put an end to
this sad and seedy chapter in our past....)

Cheers,

Paul
