Subject: on the banks of the Ganges

Over the past week or so on British television
we've been treated to nightly reports from
Kumbh Mela, the great 12-yearly Hindu festival
currently being celebrated in the presence of more
than thirty million souls.
Knowing the devotion of so many Salingeristas
to the holy writings, I thought some at least must
have made the pilgramage to the Ganges: something
to put in the shade all our other rather meagre
socializing efforts.
It wasn't easy scanning all those myriad faces &
naked bodies. But, sure enough, there they were:
at least three familiar sets of features - upper & lower.
