Fish,

I'd say Kevin Smith let his Salinger influence show the most in what I think
is his best movie- "Chasing Amy." The main characters' names were Holden
McNeil and Banky Edwards. An excellent movie, I recommend it highly, but I
have to note his more recent work has been pretty dissapointing.

Another movie that's really worth seeing for Salinger fans is "The Royal
Tenenbaums," it's kind of about a family of geniuses gone awrye. The
Tenenbaum family has a lot common with the Glass family. I'm a little
surprised no one has brought this up, I hope I haven't missed it if they
have. Anyway, Tenenbaums is excellent, and still in most theaters.
