RE: NYC sized fishbowl

Fellow fishes,

This list has witnessed my migration from North Alabama (Born in Decatur,
AL) to The Atlanta Georgia area (current resident of Decatur, GA). Assuming
I get accepted to graduate school at one of my top choices (in order of
preference below), I may be in the neighborhood of more bananafish than
currently. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't detected a southern
accent in any of the recent posts (I admit I try to hide my own).

If there are any bananafish in the vicinity of these institutions perhaps
they could give me some friendly pointers about the city and/or school. I
realize that I am going into a field that doesn't have much relevance to
Salinger (Industrial/Organizational Psychology), however even the
acknowledgement of the existence of vegetarian/vegan restaurants (or even
just something other than national chains) in these areas would make my
upcoming visits to investigate the universities more enjoyable.

I also wouldn't mind meeting up with a fish or two when I make my rounds, so
speak up if you'd like to chat over a cup of tea, coffee, water or your
preferred beverage in any of the cities below. I have not yet determined if
and when I will be scheduling my excursion(s).

Pennsylvania State University University Park PA
Bowling Green State University Bowling Green OH
Saint Louis University St. Louis MO
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Champaign IL
University of Connecticut Storrs CT
Portland State University Portland OR
Texas A&M University College Station TX
Rice University Houston TX
University of Georgia Athens GA
DePaul University Chicago IL

Swimmingly,

Amber
