I always thought that the bathroom was just one of those impersonal (everyone
uses it) rooms where everyone is equals. But...it has a certain special
quality to it. Almost like a temple or some type of place of worship. I
mean, where else does one go with such regularity to do such a regular task?
Its also a room that would be fun to write about, as one can write so many
darling little blips about so many darling little subjects in relation to the
bathroom and its uses. I think Salanger had fun writing about people in
bathrooms.
