Absolutely.  It's sort of a hybrid of inspiration and confidence.
When you're reading a book that is just so sublime that you 
can't even READ it anymore...You've got to put it down so you
can do some writing yourself.  

Of course, then I write a few pages, look back at what I've got,
and decide rather humbly to go back to reading the book.  But
that's just me.
