But that tenacity is part of the process of becoming a writer.  You might
want to check out the John Gardner book "On Becoming a Novelist."  He has a
lot of good remarks and encouraging words for people trying to grasp that
elusive voice, and many other elusive things.

Nobody said it would be easy!
