In a message dated 98-01-18 08:13:10 EST, you write:
<< As I remember, we were every bit as sensitive &
dedicated as the Glass children. And although one or two of us
did also manage to contrive our own deaths most of us simply
grew up.

If Growing up means throwing away your idealism and sensitivity, then you've
painted a revolting and disgusting picture of adulthood for me, Mr. Bowman.
Ever see the movie Tin Hat? A little kid is so disgusted by adult behavior
that he throws himself down a staircase in order to stunt his growth and be a
kid forever...maybe he got a psychic flash that this post would be written
someday, I don't know, but I'm damn glad that there aren't any staircases
around here, just for my sake!
