Disagree all you like. God knows I do, already!
By the way (just in case anyone is curious) nobody has ever been kicked off
the list, no matter how heated the discussions. One of us might step in
and ask for the dispute to be taken to private ground, or if not that, then
to knock it off altogether. But the only reason I've removed people,
unsurprisingly, is when they vanish from the planet without unsubscribing.
(I get copies of all the mail that cannot be delivered by the list, and if
the error is that the user address no longer exists, I remove the person.)
On occasion, there are people who have exceeded their disk quotas and
cannot receive any incoming mail; depending on the seriousness (or
permanence) of the error, I either remove the subscriber or set the address
to "postpone," which puts the person in a state of suspended animation.
