It really depends on which mail program you're using. In Netscape's
Messenger, click on the Edit menu and choose Preferences from the
drop-down window. A new window will arrive, titled "Preferences."
Under the Mail and Newsgroups heading, choose "formatting" and select
the radio button for "use plain text composer." It is a good idea also
to wrap outgoing messages at 72 lines under the "messages" subheading.

If you're using Eudora or Pegasus, switch to Netscape. If you're using
Microsoft's IE mail program, destroy your entire system and have your
home exorcised. You'll have to have your name legally changed and your
fingerprints altered, but you needn't necessarily relocate. Purchase a
new system and configure it with Netscape.
