Bruce, I have _An Adventure in Vedanta_ infront of me so it exists, was
publsihed in l989, by Ajanta Publications, Jawahar Nagar,
Bungalow Road, Delhi-110007.  Though Dr. Ranchan knows vedanta (yeah, the
ramikrishna link made me mark it for my next trip to nyc!), I'm afraid the
book is not, well, entirely wonderful...it has extended quotes and errors
and an attitutde toward other critics that gave me some diffiuclties.
However, I thinkDr. Ranchan has made some fine links and the way he uses
Vedanta to explicate meaning in Salinger also taught me a good deal about
spirituality and textuality.  I think i found the book via inter-library
loan but I don't remember...hope you can find it and let us know what you
think, will
