That was the result of a clerical error. Santa is somewhat backwards
when it comes to practical matters like paperwork and such, and his
master list is not organized alphabetically. Purely by twisted chance,
then, your name ended up right above Saddam Hussein's name, and a
mis-placed carriage return or two left his extensive list of evildoings
lined up with "Mattis Fishman," while your equally extensive list of
saintly deeds was credited to him. I am saddened to report that as a
result, Saddam received your Bananafish-l coffee mug. Luckily, though,
the bag of rocks destined mistakenly for you was accidentally delivered
to Kenneth Starr.
