A moderation policy for an information based listserver is perfectly understandable. However, for a literary based list it's absolutely awful, it implies that only `worthy' opinions make it through the dubious filter of the listmaster's mind which is a horrible elitist assumption to make. Even *we* put up with the occasional `How the hell do I unsubscribe???' and `Nobody believes me but I AM JD Salinger' posts to democratically include everyone's opinions.
